HUMOURS OF DUBLIN [1]. Irish, English; Jig (6/8 time). England, Northumberland. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody can be found in Walsh's Caledonian Country Dances, and also is contained in his Fourth Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (London, 1747). William Vickers' manuscript entry is an identical version. Confusingly, Walsh also published employing this title (see "Humors of Dublin (3)").
Additional notes Source for notated version : - the 1770 music manuscript collection of William Vickers (Northumberland), about whom, unfortunately, nothing is known [Seattle].
