REEL VICTORIN. AKA - "Galopade (5)." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The reel appears twice in J.A. Boucher's volume Le Repertoire du Violoneux published in 1933, although the tunes are not identical. The first, No. 84, is "Reel Victorin," a title researcher Jean Duval believes is associated with Victorin Ross, the maternal uncle of Alice Joubert, J.A. Boucher's spouse, probably a fiddler as well.
