I'm a retired professional dancer/instructor (classical ballet & other dance styles). I've been a Reenactor, historic house guide, living history interpreter since 1974. I am also a solo singer & guitarist (sometimes professional), focused on 18th century & traditional songs of the British Isles, an interest which began in the 1960's. I presently direct the Lexington (Massachusetts) Historical Society's Colonial Dancers and Singers whose main purpose is to perform dance of the 18th century and songs of the Revolutionary War. I also perform solo programs relating history through the songs (and the history of the songs), specializing in the 17th & 18th centuries, Rev War, and Celtic. These programs are usually for local historical societies, at historic sites, or for assisted living/nursing facilities. Because of my interest in interpreting history as accurately as possible, I enjoy researching the music I perform for primary sources & images of the music and lyrics to document their existence at a particular time in history.
