BIG-EARED MULE [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Ky. D Major ('A' & 'B' parts) & G Major ('C' part). Standard tuning. AABCC'. "Flop Eared Mule" seems a distant relation in this version, identified mostly by the key change between parts. The melody was recorded in 1940-41 from the playing of Magoffin County, Ky., fiddler John Salyer.
