EVENING SHADE. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Tennessee. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A slower tempo than the usual breakdown speed. On a home recording by Arthur Smith's son Ernest the tune is entitled "Evening Shade Falling," although on Smith's LP it is listed simply as "Evening Shade."
