HAYDEN FANCY. AKA and see "Johnny Box," "Mary Ann," "O'Connor's." Irish, Polka. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Hayden('s) Fancy" appears to be the older name for the tune. The "O'Connor's" title comes from the Boys of the Lough, who recorded the tune after learning it from musician Martin O'Connor. Sullivan (Session Tunes), vol. 2; No. 17, p. 8. Tubridy (Irish Traditional Music, vol. 1), 1999; p. 10 (appears as "Hayden's Fancy").
