MRS. COUTS TROTTER'S FAVORITE. Scottish, "Very Slow" Quickstep. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Major William Logan, of a line of William Logan’s of Ayrshire. The Major was a well-known gentleman in Ayrshire and a highly esteemed convivial companion. He was skilled on the violin and was, it is said, an intimate of Niel Gow and Robert Burns.
