ABERLOUR'S SQUEEZE. Scottish, Strathspey. C Major. Standard tuning. AAB (Marshall, Skye): AABB' (Kerr). Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833). The town of Aberlour is a town founded in 1812 by Charles Grant of Wester Elchies, located at the mouth of the Lour Burn (the prefix ‘aber’ is a Brittonic word meaning ‘mouth’), a tributary of the River Spey. Today it is the site of the Walker Shortbread Factory, in an area known for whisky and tourism.
