"Air de cotillon" is from the repertory of Acadian fisherman, folklorist and fiddler Avila Leblanc (1914-2010), of Gros-Cap, paroisse de Lavernière, Îles-de-la-Madeleine). The tune can also be heard played by the Quebec group La Bottine Souriante in a pot-pouri (medley) called "Surf and Turf" on their recording "Tout Comme au Jour de l'An" (1987).
