APOHAQUI.   Canadian, Reel (whole time).  Canada, New Brunswick.  C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'.  "Apohaqui" was composed by New Brunswick fiddler Ivan Hicks. Apohaqui is an unincorporated town in southern New Brunswick province, located on the Kennebecasis River at the confluence of the Millstream River. The name Apohaqui, which came from railroad management, replaced the original 'Studholm', and is speculated to have derived from the Maliseet (First Nation) word Apolog'aneek.
