"Archie's Fancy" was composed by Northumbrian small-piper Billy Pigg (1902-1968), named in honor of Archie Dagg. Dagg, a farmer and maker of small-pipes, was a member of the concert band The Border Minstrels, and composed “Elsie's/Elsey's Waltz.”
