Ardemersay Cottage or Ardimersay Shooting Cottage, Islay, near Kidalton House on the southeast shore of the island, was described as "a charming reed-thatched Regency pavilion". It was for several years the home of the Port Ellen Distillery founder and owner John Ramsay of Kildalton (1815-`892), who improved the structure, replacing the thatch roof with slate, but when it still proved difficult to weatherproof he built the present Kildalton House in 1870. The The cottage was demolished in 1935.
