Breathnach previously printed the tune in CRÉ II (No. 92) as an untitled tune. The habit, according to Paul de Grae[1], in Sliabh Luachra sessions is not to announce tune names; the repertoire is recognized by ear, and not by title. Titles are preferred by print and recoding media, and the custom is to give the name of the player from whom the source learned the tune. This a slide like "Baile an tSamhraidh" is referred to by a number of names of influential Sliabh Luachra musicians, or the places they hailed from.
