BANG UP [4] HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Cupido." English, Hornpipe (cut time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was later printed in Boston in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) as "Cupido," although Elias Howe (Ryan's publisher) printed it a year or two earlier under the "Bang Up Hornpipe" title. Compare also with Terry "Cuz" Teahan's "Man from Gleanntán/Glountane]]" which is closely related and perhaps derivative of "Bang Up [4]."
