BAULTHY OURA. AKA - "Na Bailtídhe mhóra." AKA and see "Baltiorum," "Baltighoran (2)." Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). "Bualthy Oura" can be found as a four part tune in piper O'Farrell's Pocket Companion for the Union or Irish Pipes, vol. IV, c. 1810 (p. 108). Versions were also printed by Edward Bunting and Francis O'Neill. The tune can be found in Book 2 (p. 1) of the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork uilleann piper and Church of Ireland cleric James_Goodman_ (1828-1896) as "Na Bailtídhe mhóra," and as "Bauthy Oura" in the c. 1863-73 music manuscript collection of County Mayo farmer and fiddler Philip Carolan (c. 1839-1910).
