"Blind Man's Ramble" was first published in London by John Johnson in 1758. It also appears under this title in the 1779 music manuscript book of James Biggins (Leeds, west Yorkshire) and as the alternate title (to "Chips and Shavins") in William Vickers' 1770 Northumbrian manuscript book.
