BOB AND JONES.   Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time).  E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB.  "Bob and Jones" is the title of a slip jig in the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim musician [[biography:Stephen Grier|]].  The tune is reminiscent of "Butterfly (3) (The)," and, while perhaps not cognate, certainly covers the same melodic and harmonic material.  Grier's title is also reminiscent of the air and slip jig "Bob and Joan," of which it is probably a musical version (c.f. Colclough's version in Tutor for the Irish Union Pipes, c. 1830).
