"Boston Sett Cotillion Figure 1" is not musically related to any of the quadrille parts of Elias Howe's "Boston Sett". "Boston Sett Cotillion" was entered into the 1851 music manuscript collection (Book 1) of Bellport, Long Island, shipbuilder and fiddler biography:Isaac Homan, roughly around the same time as Howe published his set. It may be that the dance figures were the same, but Homan did not record the dance with the tune.
