A Brandy melody from Grande-Vallée, Gaspé, fiddler biography:Édouard Richard (1934-2019). There are many Brandy tunes that originated as an accompaniment to the dance Drops of Brandy AKA Strip the Willow, with each musician having his version. Although many Brandy tunes are in triple meter throughout (3/2 or 6/4), Richard's first strain is in duple time, while the second is in 3/2.
