BRIDGE OF ALFORD [2], THE. Scottish, Strathspey. G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by biography:Alexander Walker, born in Rhynie, Strathbogie, in 1819. He worked as a gardener for Sir Charles Forbes of Castle Newe, who became his patron. At about age 50, in 1870, Walker followed family and emigrated to the United States where he settled in Northampton, Massachusetts. He established a prosperous farm there and continued to compose (although unfortunately his American output appears to be lost).
