BROUGHTY CASTLE. Scottish, Reel (cut time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Broughty Castle" is a reel from the sole publication of fiddler-composer John Clark, who dedicated his volume to the Musical Society of Perth. Unfortunately, there is no further information to be had on Clark (John Glen and David Baptie are silent).

Wikipedia:Broughty_Castle was completed around 1495 for the Douglas's, Earls of Angus, although the site had been fortified perviously. It is located on the banks of the river Tay in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland, and stands today where it is open to the public as a history museum.
