BUNKER HILL HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Bob Taylor's Clog." American, Hornpipe or Clog (2/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was later printed in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) as "Bob Taylor's Clog," perhaps referring to the fiddling politician of Tennessee, Robert Love Taylor (1850-1912). The title 'Bunker Hill' is named for Boston's Battle of Bunker Hill (June 17, 1775), an early conflict in the American War of Independence.
