BURLINGTON WALTZ. American, Waltz (3/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune was composed by biography:George Saunders of Providence, Rhode Island. Saunders was a music teacher (self-professed "Professor of Music and Dancing") and ran a music shop where he sold instruments and sheet music. He also was in demand as a dance caller and musician from 1820's until his death in 1850. The "Burlington Waltz" is one of the first tunes in the book, and one of the easiest in his progressive lessons.
