CAMPBELL'S HORNPIPE. Scottish, Hornpipe. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by journeyman composer and violinist W.B. Laybourn (1835-1888), who was born in London but who lived for many years in the north of England (North Shields) before finally moving on to Edinburgh. It was Laybourn who was "A Professional Player" credited with editing the Köhler violin collections of the 1880's.
