CARROLL COUNTY BREAKDOWN. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. "Carroll County Breakdown" is from the playing of bluegrass fiddler Ray Park, originally from Arkansas, who was a mainstay of Pacific coast bluegrass. Park teamed with another Arkansas native, Vern Williams, to perform as Vern and Ray. The composition "Carroll County Breakdown" is credited to Cal Yeale and Luther Riley on Vern & Ray's Starday[1] 45RPM recording.
