Variants he notes are "Off to Charleston," and his (1944) No. 1b version of "Buffalo Gals," which he now considers to be "Carroltown Breakdown." The alternate name "Shaddighee" also appears in Don Messer’s volumes as "The Chatagee" but with a different tune.
