CLARKSON'S REEL ("Seisd Miccleiraig" or "Cor Mic Cleirig"). AKA and see "Gem of Ireland," "Green Pointed Rush Reel." Irish, Reel. D Major (most versions): G Major (Flaherty). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (O'Neill/1915 & 1001): AA'B (Flaherty): AABB (McGuire & Keegan): AA'BB' (O'Neill/Krassen). The reel O'Neill prints as "Clarkson's Reel" can be found earlier in print in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) and Elias Howe's Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7 (c. 1882) as "Gem of Ireland" and "Green Pointed Rush Reel."
