COME TO THE BOTTLEHOUSE (Tar go di an teac-osda). Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Printed in 1883 (as "Come, till the Bottle-house") in Ryan's Mammoth Collection of 1050 Reels and Jigs (1883, p. 50}, but deleted when that volume metamorphosed into Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes in 1940. A bottlehouse was a drinking establishment that typically sold only whiskey in the barrel and beer in bottles.
