CONSTITUTION HORNPIPE [2]. AKA and see "Harlequin Hornpipe (1)," "Swower Creek (1)" (Pa.). American, Hornpipe or Reel (cut time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCD. The first strain is shared with "Harlequin Hornpipe (1)," but the other strains are different. While the original tune was published in New England by Elias Howe, it was absorbed in tradition, and can be heard as an old-time reel in central Kentucky [c.f. Carlton Rawlings' version].
