DUIDÍN REEL, THE. AKA - "Dudeen," "An Dúidín." AKA and see "Old Dudeen (The)]." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune is said to have been composed by New York fiddle and accordion player John McGrath, and was a favorite of New York fiddler Andy McGann's (Black). It was recorded in 1949 by Paddy Killoran in Dublin, from an RTE broadcast (see "Old Dudeen (The)"). See also "Tailor's Thimble (4)."
