AAB (Miller & Perron/2006): AABB (most versions). Dinny O'Brien was the fiddle and concertina playing father of B/C box player Paddy O'Brien [1] (1922-1991, Nenagh, County Tipperary), who composed the tune is his honor (Mick Brown says it was Paddy's first composition). Dinny was the leader of the famous Bridge Céilí Band. The late button accordion player Jim Coogan (New York) remarked that New York B/C box player Joe Madden learned the tune while travelling in a car on his way to Dunvargan, where he promptly won the All-Ireland 2-row accordion championship playing it.
