FIDDLIN' FINGERS.Western Canadian, Polka. E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBAACCADDAA. Composed by British Columbia fiddler Danny Romaniuk (1925-1976). Romaniuk was originally from Gorlitz, Saskatchewan. Heplayed at dances with his father at the age of 7, and mastered the violin, guitar, banjo, mandolin, & string bass. He spent years touring with western swing bands in Canada and the U.S.A. In 1956 he was a featured member of the Cavaliers trio on CKNW radio on the Canadian West Coast for 5 years. He was also frequently seen & heard on CBC-TV and was a regular member of the Cross Canada Barn Dance on CBC during this time. In 2011 he was posthumously inducted into the Northwest Western Swing Music Society Hall of Fame.
