GABY BOY, THE. AKA and see "Gobby-O (The)," "Gobbie O." English, Jig (6/8 time). England, Shropshire. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Irish and Scots versions, notes Matt Seattle, are in A Dorian and usually are known by the alternate titles. The first strain is shared with the American tune "Ginger Blue," which probably derived from minstrel origins.
