GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BE WITH YOU [2]. English, Air or Dance Tune (whole or cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. "Good night and God be with you [2]" is contained in the 1760's music manuscript collection of Joseph Barnes, Carlisle, Cumbria. VMP points out it bears no musical relationship to the more famous tune by that name (for which see "Good Night and Joy be with Ye a' (3)"), however, it is similar to "Stumpie" AKA "Buttered Peas (1)."
