Composed by New York Irish-American musician Larry Redican (1908-1975, born in County Roscommon). It was published in Treoir (the Comhaltas magazine), vol. 2, no. 1 in 1970 from Redican himself and was there titled "Let's Dance." Redican composed the jig, along with "O'Brien's Trip to America," "Forget Me Not (1)," and "Lough Key (2)", in honor of the 1969 trip to America by musician Paddy O'Brien.
