HARVEY STATION WALTZ.   Canadian, Waltz (3/4 time). Canada, New Brunswick. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB.  The tune was in the repertory of Jerry Holland, Sr., who grew up in Harvey Station, New Brunswick, writes Peter Corfield (2024).  The area was on the main railway line that connected the Maritimes to the United States and was a temporary stop-over home for workers and travelers on their way to other destinations, notes Corfield.   Travelers brought their music, and, while the people moved on, the music often stayed where it influenced local musicians.  Radio and TV fiddler Don Messer, a friend of Holland Sr.'s, was from the nearby community of Tweedside.
