HEDON ASSEMBLY. AKA - "Headon Assembly." English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. There are localities called both Hedon and Headon in England; Headon is a village in Nottinghamshire, while Hedon is a town in Holderness in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, near Hull. The latter is referenced by the title, and was the site of assembly rooms (perhaps not the original ones) that survived into the early 1980's, when the George Street building was finally demolished.
