Irish, Scottish; Double Jig. A Mixolydian (Cole, Gow, O'Neill/Krassen & 1001, 1915, Skye): A Major (O'Neill/1850). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was entered into American musician Giles Gibbs' 1777 American flute manuscript as "Right Way to Dublin." The first strain is similar to the Irish melody “Langstrom's Pony.”
