I'M A SILLY OLD MAN (Is Seanduine Saob Me). AKA and see "Bunch of Currents (1)," "Bunch of Roses (3)," "Christmas Comes but Once a Year," "Greensleeves (4)," "I've got one daughter to marry," "Little Bogtrotter," "Shady Lane," "Spring in the Air." Irish, Single Jig. G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Irish violinist R.M. Levey's "Bunch of Currents (1)" is a major mode setting of the tune, and appears in his first collection of 1858 (No. 38). The melody is quite old and widespread in the British Isles and Ireland; see note for the English and Scottish "annotation:Greensleeves (4)" for more.
