IRISH AIR IN LOVE IN A CAMP [1]. Irish, Air (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Patrick in Prussia, or Love in a Camp is a two-act comic opera with music by William Shield and a libretto by John O'Keeffe (1747-1833) first staged at Covent Garden opera house (London) in February, 1786. It was a sequel to the 1783 hit The Poor Soldier with the characters now serving in the Prussian army.
