JIG [123]. Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). Canada, Manitoba. D Major. Standard or ADae tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. This untitled jig was in the repertory of Métis fiddler Grandy Fagnan (c. 1902-1986) of Camperville, Manitoba, who was recorded in the field by researcher and fiddler Anne Lederman in the mid-1980's. The jig is somewhat meandering with similar sounding parts that are often varied.
