O'Neill makes no mention of where he obtained this tune, which does not appear in older Irish collections. It is, however, a version a the Scottish "Forfar Hunt" or "Dunrobin Castle (4)," the latter having been printed in William Gunn's collection of Highland pipe tunes in 1848.
