JOB IN GETTIN' THERE. AKA - "Jobbin Gettin There." Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Tennessee. Charles Wolfe thinks the title derives from a Tennessee expression, "He's a job in gettin' there," meaning one who is slow. The tune is from the Crook Brothers band, one of the most long-lived in history, consisting originally of brothers Herman (harmonica) and Matthew, augmented and supplemented by others over the years (including Sam McGee and fiddler Gerry Rivers).
