KILLARNEY WONDER (HORNPIPE) [2]. AKA and see "Kitty's Wedding (1)." Irish, Hornpipe (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. "Killarney Wonder" was the name of the second in a set of hornpipes recorded by County Kerry fiddler Paddy Cronin's for Copley records in 1952 (it follows "Con McCarthy's Favorite" AKA "Father Dollard's Hornpipe"). The 'Killarney' tune is usually known nowadays as "Kitty's Wedding (1)." The title seems unique to Cronin's recording, however, and does not appear to have had general circulation.
