KIRK'S HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Soft Side Hornpipe," "York Hornpipe (1)," "West End (The)." Scottish, Hornpipe (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was entered into the c. 1850 music manuscript collection of Manchester, England, musician John Roose as "Birks", "Kirkgate" or "Soft Side Hornpipe."
