This syncopated country ragtime pice was recorded in Atlanta, Georgia, in March, 1929, by the biography:Scottdale String Band for OKeh Records. The band members consisted of Charlie Simmons on banjo-mandolin and Barney Pritchard and Marvin Head on guitars, with perhaps additional accompaniment on fiddle by either Owen McDearis or Luke Talton. The Scottdale String band was one of the first to be heard over Atlanta airwaves, with Saturday afternoon appearances on WSB as early as January, 1927. Initially they were a quartet, with Marvin Head (sometimes called 'J.M. Head') and Ed Freeman on mandolins, and Eunice and Bonnie Pritchard on guitars.
