LADY OF THE LAKE [7]. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA; Missouri, Kentucky. D Major (Phillips): A Mixolydian (Molsky). Standard or ADae (Molsky) tunings (fiddle). AA'BB'. Fairly widely disseminated. Eastern Kentucky fiddler Ed Haley (Ashland, Ky.) played a tune by this title; perhaps this one. Massachusetts fiddler Donna Hebert [Fiddle-L 3/29/06] claims that "Lady of the Lake [7]" was also in the repertoire of Ottawa Valley, Ontario, fiddler Graham Townsend. Closely related to "Lady of the Lake (6)." \
