LARK IN THE MORNING [5] (An fuiseog air maidin). Irish, Double Jig (6/8 time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Fr. John Quinn suggests the the parts of the tune (in particular the entire second strain) strongly resemble Niel Gow's "Colonel Robertson of Strewan's Welcome Home," and that "Lark in the Morning [5]" is perhaps a derivative.
