LATRIGG SIDE. English, Hornpipe (4/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of William Irwin, a musician resident in the Lake Distict of north west England. He attributes the composition to himself in the MS. Latrigg [1] is a fell, a small mountain or large hill near the town of Keswick.
