A re-titled Scottish reel from the Boston based Elias Howe publishing firm, variants of which are also popular in Ireland. Howe's own Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7, published 1880-1882 around the same time as Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) prints a nearly identical version as "Puck's Scotch Reel," finds Fr. John Quinn, who categorizes both tunes as variants of the older "Lucy Campbell."
